•• من رواق فندق يطل على الحرم المدني أكتب هذه المقالة.. ففي جوانب ساحات الحرم تتحدث أقدام قاصديه في أفواج تزودن أذكاراً وأدعية لا تنتهي.. هذا المنظر زادني أُنساً وكأن روحي تتراقص، فلا سبيل لي لنعاس عن الكتابة ولا أمل لإغفاءة.. مشهد ساحر الجمال عشت معناه من شرفة مُطِلَّة حوَّلني للكتابة عن تدوينات الرحالة أثناء زياراتهم إلى المدينة ضمن رحلة الحج.

•• كتابات الرحالة عن تلك البقعة الإيمانية الطاهرة من الأرض (طيبة الطيبة)؛ جزء جوهري لأدب رحلات الحج عبر التاريخ.. تدوينات كُتِبت بعقول متيقنة مؤمنة أن خالق السماء يراقب هذا العمل.. وصفٌ دقيق بعمق إيماني وفن بلاغي لتأثير البيئة العجيب المحيطة بالحرم النبوي.. مشاهدات رقيقة صارمة مُحكمة عن المدينة قديماً، وحياة أهلها الاجتماعية، وعاداتهم وتقاليدهم، وما تحمل من تأريخ وتضاريس وعمران وزراعة.

•• في إطار تدويني بديع ينقل الرحالة «ابن رشيد الفهريّ السَّبتِيّ» لوحة رائعة عن إيثار أهل المدينة وكرمهم، وطبائعهم، ورقة شمائلهم، وحسن تعاملهم مع الزائرين.. فوصفهم في كتابه «ملء العيبة بماء جمع بطول الغَيبة في الوجهة الوجيهة إلى الحرمين مكة وطيبة» بقوله: «ما أن يصل الرحالة وركبه إلى مشارف المدينة حتى يتلقاهم أهلها مرحبين وهم يحملون قليلاً من تمرها هدية للزائرين».

•• وبلمسات أدبية بلاغية، وروعة تدوينية أدبية؛ دوَّن أبو محمد بن أحمد ابن جبير الأندلسي رقة أهل المدينة وحبهم الشديد لمدينة المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم.. ففي اختصار دون تفاصيل لقصر مدة زيارته للمدينة (خمسة أيام)؛ قال في كتابه «التذكرة بالأخبار عن اتفاق الأسفار»: «رقة قلوب أهلها التي تتجلى في تأثرهم بِما يُلقى على أسماعهم من وعظ، ومسارعتهم إلى إعلان التوبة».

أهالي المدينة.. أساليب مبتكرة للاحتفاء بالحاج:

«النثيرة»: نثر الحلوى والورود على الحاج عند عودته

«التوجيبة»: تقديم الهدايا للحاج خصوصاً عند عودته

«الزفة»: الترحيب بالحاج بأهازيج شعبية وأجواء فرحية

«الاستقبال»: تحيُّن قدوم قوافل الحجاج لتزويدهم باحتياجاتهم

•• From the balcony of a hotel overlooking the Prophet's Mosque, I write this article.. In the corners of the mosque's courtyards, the feet of its visitors speak in groups, equipped with endless remembrances and prayers.. This scene has filled me with joy, as if my spirit is dancing; there is no way for me to feel drowsy about writing nor any hope for a nap.. A scene of enchanting beauty that I experienced from an overlooking terrace has transformed me into writing about the travelogues of pilgrims during their visits to the city as part of the Hajj journey.

•• The writings of travelers about that sacred, faith-filled spot on earth (Taybah) are an essential part of the literature of pilgrimage throughout history.. Notes written by minds convinced and believing that the Creator of the heavens watches this work.. A precise description with deep faith and a rhetorical art reflecting the amazing environment surrounding the Prophet's Mosque.. Delicate yet strict observations about the city in ancient times, the social life of its people, their customs and traditions, and what it carries of history, topography, architecture, and agriculture.

•• In a beautiful narrative framework, the traveler "Ibn Rashid al-Fihri al-Sabti" paints a wonderful picture of the generosity and kindness of the people of the city, their nature, gentle traits, and their good treatment of visitors.. He described them in his book "Filling the Container with Water Collected During the Long Absence on the Noble Journey to the Two Holy Mosques, Mecca and Taybah" by saying: "As soon as the traveler and his entourage reach the outskirts of the city, its people welcome them, carrying a little of its dates as a gift for the visitors."

•• With literary and rhetorical touches, and the beauty of literary documentation; Abu Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Jubayr al-Andalusi recorded the tenderness of the people of the city and their deep love for the city of the Chosen One, peace be upon him.. In a brief note, without details due to the short duration of his visit to the city (five days); he said in his book "The Reminder of News about the Agreement of Journeys": "The tenderness of the hearts of its people is manifested in their emotional response to what is heard from sermons, and their eagerness to announce repentance."

The people of the city.. Innovative ways to celebrate the pilgrim:

“Al-Nathira”: Throwing sweets and flowers on the pilgrim upon their return

“Al-Tawjiba”: Presenting gifts to the pilgrim, especially upon their return

“Al-Zaffa”: Welcoming the pilgrim with folk songs and festive atmospheres

“Al-Istiqbaal”: Timing the arrival of the caravans of pilgrims to provide them with their needs
