وصل المبعوثان الأمريكيان ستيف ويتكوف وجاريد كوشنر إلى إسرائيل اليوم (السبت) للقاء رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو.

وذكرت وسائل إعلام غربية أن عدداً من الملفات، في مقدمتها تطورات الوضع في غزة عقب إطلاق «مجلس السلام» للإشراف على مرحلة ما بعد الحرب، على الطاولة.

وذكرت وكالات غربية أن ويتكوف وكوشنر موجودان في إسرائيل، للاجتماع مع نتنياهو، وذلك لإجراء مباحثات بشأن غزة بشكل أساسي، فيما قالت القناة «13» الإسرائيلية إن المبعوثين الأمريكيين سيبحثان مع نتنياهو الانتقال إلى المرحلة الثانية من اتفاق غزة، وفتح معبر رفح، وملفات إقليمية أخرى.

وكان رئيس اللجنة الفلسطينية الوطنية لإدارة غزة علي شعث أعلن (الخميس) أن معبر رفح سيفتح للفلسطينيين في الاتجاهين الأسبوع القادم.

في غضون ذلك، وصل قائد القيادة المركزية الأمريكية (سنتكوم) الجنرال براد كوبر إلى إسرائيل، للقاء قيادات أمنية وسياسية، بمن في ذلك رئيس الأركان الإسرائيلي إيال زامير.

وتأتي زيارة المسؤولين الأمريكيين إلى إسرائيل وسط تصاعد التوتر في المنطقة، وإرسال الولايات المتحدة المجموعة الضاربة لحاملة الطائرات «يو إس إس أبراهام لينكولن» العاملة بالطاقة النووية، يرافقها جناح جوي يضم نحو 80 طائرة مقاتلة وآلاف الجنود، إلى الشرق الأوسط.

وتقترب المجموعة الضاربة لحاملة الطائرات الأمريكية «أبراهام لينكولن» من الشرق الأوسط، وسط مخاوف من تجدد الحرب بين أمريكا وإيران.

ونقلت وسائل إعلام غربية عن مسؤول إيراني قوله: «طهران ستتعامل مع أي هجوم على أنه حرب شاملة ضدنا»، معرباً عن أمله أن لا يكون الحشد الأمريكي العسكري الهدف منه مواجهة حقيقية.

ولفت إلى أن «الجيش الإيراني مستعد لأسوأ السيناريوهات، وكل شيء في إيران في حالة تأهب قصوى»، موضحاً أن بلاده ستتعامل مع أي هجوم على أنه حرب شاملة.

American envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in Israel today (Saturday) to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Western agencies mentioned that Witkoff and Kushner are in Israel to meet with Netanyahu, primarily to discuss Gaza, while Israeli Channel 13 stated that the American envoys will discuss with Netanyahu moving to the second phase of the Gaza agreement, opening the Rafah crossing, and other regional files.

The head of the Palestinian National Committee for Gaza Management, Ali Shaath, announced (on Thursday) that the Rafah crossing will open for Palestinians in both directions next week.

Meanwhile, the commander of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), General Brad Cooper, arrived in Israel to meet with security and political leaders, including Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir.

The visit of the American officials to Israel comes amid rising tensions in the region, with the United States sending the strike group of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier "USS Abraham Lincoln," accompanied by an air wing comprising about 80 fighter jets and thousands of soldiers, to the Middle East.
