شهدت محافظة كركوك العراقية اليوم (السبت) حادثة عنف أسري صادمة هزّت الشارع العراقي، بعدما أقدم رجل على سكب مادة «ماء النار» الكيميائية على جسد طليقته، مخلفاً حروقاً بالغة ودخولها المستشفى في حالة حرجة.

وقالت الشرطة العراقية إن المرأة تعرضت للحرق بشكل مباشر من قبل طليقها، ما استدعى نقلها سريعاً لتلقي العلاج من الإصابات الخطيرة، بينما قام الجاني بالفرار قبل أن تتمكن الأجهزة الأمنية من السيطرة على الموقف.

وبحسب بيان رسمي صادر عن شرطة كركوك، فقد تم القبض على المتهم بعد وقت قصير من ارتكاب الجريمة، وأُحيل إلى القضاء لاستكمال التحقيقات وتطبيق القانون بحقه. ولم تتضح بعد دوافع الرجل وراء هذا الاعتداء الوحشي أو تاريخ انفصال الضحية عنه.

وتعد مادة «التيزاب» من أخطر المواد الكيميائية، إذ تسبب حروقاً شديدة جداً قد تؤدي إلى الوفاة، ما يجعل الجريمة ذات طابع صادم وخطير للغاية.

وتأتي هذه الحادثة في سياق تصاعد ملحوظ للعنف الأسري في العراق، وسط دعوات مجتمعية متكررة لمكافحة هذه الظاهرة وحماية الفئات الأكثر عرضة للأذى.

وينص قانون العقوبات العراقي على عقوبات صارمة لجرائم القتل والشروع فيه، تصل أحياناً إلى السجن المؤبد، مع الأخذ في الاعتبار خطورة استخدام المواد الكيميائية في الاعتداءات.

The Iraqi province of Kirkuk witnessed a shocking incident of domestic violence today (Saturday) that shook the Iraqi street, after a man poured a chemical substance known as "water of fire" on the body of his ex-wife, leaving her with severe burns and requiring hospitalization in critical condition.

The Iraqi police stated that the woman was directly burned by her ex-husband, necessitating her swift transfer for treatment of her serious injuries, while the perpetrator fled before the security forces could control the situation.

According to an official statement issued by the Kirkuk police, the suspect was arrested shortly after committing the crime and has been referred to the judiciary to complete the investigations and apply the law against him. The motives behind the man's brutal attack and the date of the victim's separation from him remain unclear.

The substance "thiazab" is one of the most dangerous chemicals, as it causes extremely severe burns that can lead to death, making the crime particularly shocking and extremely serious.

This incident comes in the context of a noticeable rise in domestic violence in Iraq, amid repeated community calls to combat this phenomenon and protect the most vulnerable groups.

The Iraqi Penal Code stipulates strict penalties for murder and attempted murder, which can sometimes reach life imprisonment, taking into account the severity of using chemical substances in assaults.
