فقد الإعلام السعودي، الجمعة 23 يناير، قامتين بارزتين أسهمتا في تشكيل الوعي والوجدان لدى أجيال متعاقبة، برحيل المذيع عبدالكريم بن صالح المقرن، أحد أبرز أصوات إذاعة القرآن الكريم، والإعلامي خبير الأرصاد الجوية حسن كراني، عميد نشرات الطقس في التلفزيون السعودي، في يوم واحد خيّم الحزن على الأوساط الإعلامية والثقافية.
عبدالكريم المقرن.. صوت العلم والطمأنينة
ودّع الوسط الإعلامي المذيع عبدالكريم المقرن بعد معاناة صحية بدأت بعملية جراحية في المرارة، قبل أن تتدهور حالته إثر مضاعفات أثّرت على القلب والرئتين والكلى، إذ ظل منوماً في العناية المركزة إلى أن وافته المنية.
ويُعد المقرن من الأسماء اللامعة في الإعلام الإذاعي الديني، إذ ارتبط صوته لسنوات طويلة ببرامج شكّلت علامة فارقة في إذاعة القرآن الكريم، من أبرزها «نور على الدرب» و«فتاوى»، وأسهم من خلالها في نشر العلم الشرعي وتعزيز الوعي الديني بأسلوب هادئ وحضور رصين ترك أثراً عميقاً لدى المستمعين.
مسيرة إذاعية مؤثرة
شارك الفقيد في تقديم أجزاء واسعة من برنامج «نور على الدرب»، وتولّى تقديم برامج سماحة الشيخ عبدالعزيز بن باز – رحمه الله – عقب وفاة المذيع سليمان الشبانة، كما شارك في برامج الفتاوى مع أعضاء هيئة كبار العلماء، إضافة إلى برامج دينية وإذاعية متخصصة ذات طابع علمي وتوعوي، رسّخت مكانته واحداً من الأصوات الموثوقة والمؤثرة في الإذاعة السعودية.
حسن كراني.. عميد الطقس ورفيق الشاشات
وفي اليوم ذاته، غيّب الموت الإعلامي خبير الأرصاد الجوية حسن كراني عن عمر ناهز 77 عاماً، بعد مسيرة تجاوزت 4 عقود، ظل خلالها حاضراً في ذاكرة المشاهدين السعوديين بصوته المألوف وعباراته الخالدة في نشرات الطقس عبر التلفزيون السعودي.
كراني الذي ارتبط اسمه بالمطر، بدأت رحلة العلمية والإعلامية في مكة المكرمة عام 1949، إذ أظهر شغفاً مبكراً بالعلوم واللغات، قبل أن ينطلق في مسيرته المهنية عبر الإذاعة السعودية، ثم يتخصص في مجال الأرصاد الجوية، ليصبح منذ عام 1978 أحد أبرز الوجوه التلفزيونية في هذا المجال.
إرث علمي وإعلامي راسخ
عُرف الكراني بأسلوبه العفوي وحضوره الدافئ، وارتبط اسمه بعبارته الشهيرة في ختام النشرات: «شكراً لكم ومع السلامة»، و«أعزائي شكراً لإصغائكم مع أحلى الأماني»، التي تحولت إلى جزء من الذاكرة الإعلامية الوطنية.
وخلال مسيرته، ساهم في تأسيس وبناء المركز الوطني للأرصاد، وشارك في تطوير منظومة التنبؤات الجوية، وتقلّد مناصب إدارية في الهيئة العامة للأرصاد وحماية البيئة، كما عمل مستشاراً في المؤتمرات والندوات المتخصصة بالمناخ والكوارث الطبيعية، ليغدو مرجعاً موثوقاً للجمهور.
ورغم تقاعده رسمياً عام 2019، حافظ على حضوره عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، وظل قريباً من الناس حتى وافته المنية بعد رحلة علاج استمرت قرابة 7 أشهر في مجمع الملك عبدالله الطبي بمحافظة جدة.
وداع مؤثر
وقد خيّم الحزن على الوسط الإعلامي، فيما نعاه عدد كبير من الإعلاميين ورواد مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، مستذكرين أثره الكبير ومسيرته الزاخرة بالعطاء.
The Saudi media lost, on Friday, January 23, two prominent figures who contributed to shaping the awareness and sentiments of successive generations, with the passing of broadcaster Abdulkarim bin Saleh Al-Muqrin, one of the most prominent voices of the Holy Quran Radio, and meteorologist Hassan Karani, the dean of weather reports on Saudi television, on the same day that cast a shadow of sadness over the media and cultural circles.
Abdulkarim Al-Muqrin.. The Voice of Knowledge and Serenity
The media community bid farewell to broadcaster Abdulkarim Al-Muqrin after a health struggle that began with gallbladder surgery, before his condition deteriorated due to complications that affected his heart, lungs, and kidneys, as he remained hospitalized in intensive care until his passing.
Al-Muqrin is considered one of the shining names in religious radio media, as his voice was associated for many years with programs that marked a significant milestone in the Holy Quran Radio, most notably "Noor Ala Al-Darb" and "Fatwas," through which he contributed to spreading religious knowledge and enhancing religious awareness with a calm style and dignified presence that left a deep impact on listeners.
Influential Radio Career
The late broadcaster participated in presenting large segments of the program "Noor Ala Al-Darb," and took over presenting programs of the late Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Baz – may God have mercy on him – following the death of broadcaster Suleiman Al-Shabana. He also participated in fatwa programs with members of the Council of Senior Scholars, in addition to specialized religious and radio programs with a scientific and educational character, solidifying his status as one of the trusted and influential voices in Saudi radio.
Hassan Karani.. The Dean of Weather and Companion of Screens
On the same day, death claimed the media meteorologist Hassan Karani at the age of 77, after a career that spanned over four decades, during which he remained present in the memories of Saudi viewers with his familiar voice and timeless phrases in weather reports on Saudi television.
Karani, whose name is associated with rain, began his scientific and media journey in Mecca in 1949, showing an early passion for sciences and languages, before embarking on his professional career through Saudi radio, later specializing in meteorology, becoming one of the most prominent television faces in this field since 1978.
Established Scientific and Media Legacy
Karani was known for his spontaneous style and warm presence, and his name became associated with his famous phrases at the end of reports: "Thank you and goodbye," and "Dear ones, thank you for your attention with the sweetest wishes," which became part of the national media memory.
Throughout his career, he contributed to the establishment and development of the National Center for Meteorology, participated in developing the weather forecasting system, held administrative positions in the General Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Protection, and worked as a consultant in conferences and seminars specialized in climate and natural disasters, becoming a trusted reference for the public.
Despite officially retiring in 2019, he maintained his presence through social media and remained close to the people until his passing after a treatment journey that lasted nearly seven months at King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah.
Emotional Farewell
The media community was engulfed in sadness, as many journalists and social media pioneers mourned him, recalling his significant impact and his abundant contributions throughout his career.
