من منصات المنافسة إلى إدارة تفاصيل المباريات، تتشكل تجربة جمانة المطيري، كأحد النماذج التي تعكس التحول الذي يشهده حضور المرأة السعودية في الرياضة، حيث لم يعد دورها مقتصرًا على المشاركة، بل امتد إلى الإشراف والعمل الميداني والتنظيم.

اليوم، تعمل جمانة المطيري منسّقة مباريات في الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم في المدينة المنورة وجدة، ضمن مهمات تتطلب دقة عالية، وتنظيمًا محكمًا، وتنسيقًا مستمرًا بين الفرق واللجان، لضمان سير المنافسات وفق الأنظمة المعتمدة.

هذا الحضور التنظيمي جاء بعد تجربة ميدانية سبقتها في ألعاب القوى، حيث حققت وصافة بطولة الاتحاد الرياضي للجامعات السعودية لألعاب القوى في رمي الرمح، في مشاركة نقلتها من التجربة الفردية إلى فهم أوسع لطبيعة المنافسة والعمل الرياضي المنظم.

وتعود المطيري، في حديثها لـ«عكاظ» إلى بدايات التجربة، موضحة أن دخولها ميدان رمي الرمح لم يكن مخططًا له، إذ كانت تشارك في الإشراف على فريق ألعاب القوى وتنظيم تدريباته، قبل أن تقرر قبيل إحدى البطولات تسجيل اسمها ضمن الفريق المشارك، لتخوض المنافسة للمرة الأولى كلاعبة.

وتقول، إن تلك المشاركة الأولى، رغم بساطتها، كشفت لها قدرتها التنافسية بعد تحقيقها رقمًا ضمن أفضل خمسة أرقام في البطولة، ما دفعها لإعادة التجربة لاحقًا باستعداد مختلف، وخطة تدريبية أوضح، انعكست على النتيجة النهائية في المشاركة التالية.

وامتد حضورها الرياضي إلى الجانب التمثيلي، بحصولها على جائزة أفضل صورة لرياضتها المفضلة، إضافة إلى جائزة «أبدعتم»، في مؤشرات تعكس تعدد أوجه التجربة وعدم اقتصارها على جانب واحد.

وترى المطيري، أن ما تشهده الرياضة النسائية اليوم يعكس تحولًا حقيقيًا في تمكين المرأة، مؤكدة أن دورها لم يعد مجرد مشاركة، بل أصبح عنصرًا مؤثرًا في بناء جيل رياضي واعٍ وقادر على المنافسة، عبر العمل الميداني، وتنفيذ وتنظيم الفعاليات والمسابقات الرياضية، والمشاركة في إدارتها.

وتختم حديثها بالتأكيد على أن هذا المسار، الذي بدأ بتجربة غير مخططة وتطور مع المسؤولية، استند إلى خلفية علمية درستها في قسم علوم الرياضة والنشاط البدني بجامعة طيبة، وأسهمت في صقل فهمها لطبيعة العمل الرياضي ومتطلباته.

From competition platforms to managing match details, Jumana Al-Mutairi's experience exemplifies the transformation of Saudi women's presence in sports. Her role is no longer limited to participation; it has extended to supervision, fieldwork, and organization.

Today, Jumana Al-Mutairi works as a match coordinator at the Saudi Football Federation in Medina and Jeddah, undertaking tasks that require high precision, tight organization, and continuous coordination between teams and committees to ensure that competitions proceed according to the approved regulations.

This organizational presence came after her field experience in athletics, where she achieved second place in the Saudi Universities Sports Federation Championship in javelin throw, a participation that shifted her from an individual experience to a broader understanding of the nature of competition and organized sports work.

In her conversation with “Okaz,” Al-Mutairi reflects on the beginnings of her experience, explaining that her entry into the javelin throw field was unplanned. She was initially involved in supervising the athletics team and organizing its training before deciding, just before one of the championships, to register her name as part of the participating team, competing for the first time as an athlete.

She states that this first participation, despite its simplicity, revealed her competitive ability after she achieved a score among the top five in the championship, prompting her to revisit the experience later with different preparation and a clearer training plan, which reflected positively on her final result in the next participation.

Her sports presence extended to representation, as she received the award for the best image in her favorite sport, in addition to the “You Excelled” award, indicators that reflect the multifaceted nature of her experience and its expansion beyond a single aspect.

Al-Mutairi believes that what women's sports are witnessing today reflects a real transformation in empowering women, emphasizing that her role is no longer just participation but has become an influential element in building a conscious and competitive sports generation through fieldwork, implementing and organizing sports events and competitions, and participating in their management.

She concludes her discussion by affirming that this path, which began with an unplanned experience and evolved with responsibility, is based on the scientific background she studied in the Department of Sports Science and Physical Activity at Taibah University, which contributed to refining her understanding of the nature of sports work and its requirements.
