أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، أمس (الإثنين)، معارضته للحرب على إيران، لكنه أكد أنه لن يسمح لها بامتلاك السلاح النووي.

وقال ترمب خلال قمة أعمال مصغرة في البيت الأبيض: لا أؤيد حرب إيران ولا أحبها ولا أحب الحروب، لكن لا يمكن السماح لإيران بامتلاك السلاح النووي، مضيفاً: «ليس لدى إيران بحرية ولا قوات جوية ولا رادارات ولا قادة، ونحن نبلي بلاء حسنا».

ووضع ترمب إيران أمام خيارين بين اتفاق «بحسن نية» أو استئناف القتال، مبيناً أن «الأمور مع إيران تسير بشكل جيد للغاية».

ولفت إلى أن مروحيات أباتشي و«سي هوك» استخدمت في تدمير زوارق إيرانية هددت الملاحة، وفي ما يتعلق بكيفية التعامل مع السفن الإيرانية قال ترمب: «الجيش يفضل تفجيرها بدل إنقاذها».

ووصف ترمب زيارته إلى بكين بالمهمة، موضحاً أنه يتطلع للقاء رئيس الصين.

وتوقع ترمب انخفاض أسعار النفط بمجرد انتهاء حرب إيران، مشيداً بـ«مكاسب سوق الأسهم وسط الحرب».

من جهة أخرى، قال عملاق الشحن ⁠«ميرسك» إن سفينة ‌نقل المركبات «ألايانس فيرفاكس»، التي ​ترفع العلم الأمريكي، ⁠وتديرها شركة «فاريل لاينز» التابعة ⁠لـ«ميرسك»، غادرت الخليج عبر مضيق هرمز، أمس، ​برفقة قوات عسكرية أمريكية.

وأضافت «ميرسك»: العبور ⁠تم دون ​وقوع أي ​حوادث، وجميع ‌أفراد الطاقم بخير ولم يصابوا ​بأذى.

وكانت «ألايانس فيرفاكس» ⁠من مئات السفن ​التي ⁠تقطعت ‌بها السبل في الخليج بعدما أدت الحرب ‌الأمريكية والإسرائيلية على إيران إلى إغلاق مضيق هرمز ​منذ أوائل مارس.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced yesterday (Monday) his opposition to war with Iran, but he emphasized that he will not allow it to possess nuclear weapons.

Trump said during a small business summit at the White House: "I do not support a war with Iran, nor do I like it, and I do not like wars, but Iran cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons," adding: "Iran has no navy, no air force, no radars, and no leaders, and we are doing very well."

Trump presented Iran with two options: a "good faith" agreement or a resumption of fighting, indicating that "things with Iran are going very well."

He noted that Apache and Seahawk helicopters were used to destroy Iranian boats that threatened navigation, and regarding how to deal with Iranian ships, Trump said: "The military prefers to blow them up rather than rescue them."

Trump described his visit to Beijing as important, explaining that he looks forward to meeting the President of China.

He predicted a drop in oil prices as soon as the war with Iran ends, praising the "stock market gains amid the war."

On another note, shipping giant "Maersk" stated that the vehicle transport ship "Alliance Fairfax," which flies the American flag and is operated by "Farrell Lines," a subsidiary of "Maersk," left the Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz yesterday, accompanied by U.S. military forces.

Maersk added: "The crossing was completed without any incidents, and all crew members are fine and unharmed."

"Alliance Fairfax" was among hundreds of ships that were stranded in the Gulf after the American and Israeli war on Iran led to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz since early March.
