أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب بشكل مفاجئ عن إطار عمل لاتفاق قادم بشأن غرينلاند، ورفع تهديداته الجمركية والعسكرية.

ويتضمن «إطار العمل» الذي ناقشه ترمب والأمين العام لحلف الناتو مارك روته، مبدأ احترام سيادة الدنمارك على الجزيرة، وفق ما كشف مصدر مطلع لموقع «أكسيوس».

وأبان المصدران أن الأمين العام للناتو قدم مقترحاً لترمب لا يتضمن نقل السيادة الكاملة على غرينلاند من الدنمارك إلى الولايات المتحدة.

ويشمل المخطط تحديث اتفاقية الدفاع عن غرينلاند العائدة لعام 1951 بين أمريكا والدنمارك، والتي سمحت للولايات المتحدة ببناء قواعد عسكرية في الجزيرة وإنشاء «مناطق دفاعية» إذا رأى حلف شمال الأطلسي ضرورة لذلك.

كما يضم بنوداً تتعلق بتعزيز الأمن في غرينلاند ونشاط الناتو في القطب الشمالي، فضلاً عن أعمال إضافية في مجال المواد الخام، حسب المصدر.

كما يشتمل المقترح بنوداً حول إنشاء «القبة الذهبية» في غرينلاند ومواجهة النفوذ الخارجي من جانب روسيا والصين.

ورأى المصدران أنه «إذا تمت هذه الصفقة، فستحقق أمريكا جميع أهدافها الاستراتيجية فيما يتعلق بغرينلاند، بتكلفة زهيدة، وإلى الأبد».

U.S. President Donald Trump unexpectedly announced a framework for an upcoming agreement regarding Greenland, raising his tariff and military threats.

The "framework" discussed by Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte includes the principle of respecting Denmark's sovereignty over the island, according to a source familiar with the matter who spoke to Axios.

The sources indicated that the NATO Secretary General proposed to Trump a plan that does not involve transferring full sovereignty over Greenland from Denmark to the United States.

The plan includes updating the 1951 defense agreement regarding Greenland between the U.S. and Denmark, which allowed the United States to build military bases on the island and establish "defensive zones" if NATO deemed it necessary.

It also includes provisions related to enhancing security in Greenland and NATO's activities in the Arctic, as well as additional actions in the field of raw materials, according to the source.

The proposal also includes clauses about establishing a "golden dome" in Greenland and countering external influence from Russia and China.

The sources believe that "if this deal goes through, the U.S. will achieve all its strategic objectives regarding Greenland, at a low cost, and forever."
