فيما زعمت قوات سورية الديمقراطية «قسد»، أن القوات السورية الحكومية تحاصر مدينة عين العرب (كوباني) شمال شرق حلب، أعلنت محافظة حلب إرسال مساعدات إنسانية وطبية إلى المدينة التي تقطنها أغلبية كردية.

وأفادت اللجنة المركزية لاستجابة حلب، في بيان، اليوم (الأحد)، أنها أرسلت بالتنسيق مع منظمات الأمم المتحدة قافلة مؤلفة من 24 شاحنة محمّلة بالمواد الطبية والإغاثية واللوجستية. وذكرت أن القافلة انطلقت من مدينة حلب باتجاه منطقة عين العرب لدعم الاحتياجات الإنسانية والخدمية فيها.

فيما أعلنت وزارة الدفاع أن الجيش يستعد بالتنسيق مع محافظة الحسكة وحلب لافتتاح ممرين إنسانيين سيعلن عنهما حالما تستكمل التجهيزات، وفق ما نقلت وكالة «سانا».

وكانت قسد اتهمت أمس (السبت) الحكومة السورية بمواصلة التحضيرات العسكرية في مناطق الجزيرة وكوباني، مدعية أنها رصدت تحشيدات عسكرية وتحركات لوجستية تؤكد وجود نية واضحة للتصعيد.

واعتبرت أن هذه الاستعدادات العسكرية تكشف عن مساعٍ لإفشال التهدئة والدفع باتجاه الحرب بدل الحلول السياسية. وطالبت المجتمع الدولي والجهات المعنية ببذل جهود عاجلة لضمان الالتزام باتفاق وقف إطلاق النار، والعمل على منع أي خطوات تصعيدية من شأنها تهديد الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.

يذكر أن وزارة الدفاع السورية أعلنت أمس عقب ساعات من انتهاء الهدنة التي استمرت أربعة أيام بين الحكومة وقسد، تمديدها 15 يوما إضافية. وأوضحت أن هذا التمديد أتى دعماً لعملية تقوم بها القوات الأمريكية لنقل متهمين بالانتماء لداعش، كانوا محتجزين في سجون شمال شرقي سورية، إلى مراكز في العراق.

ومنذ 3 أسابيع تدور مواجهات بين قسد والقوات الحكومية أدت إلى خسارة القوات الكردية سيطرتها على محافظتي الرقة ودير الزور ذات الأغلبية العربية، والانسحاب إلى الحسكة.

وكانت الرئاسة السورية، أعلنت الثلاثاء الماضي التوصل إلى تفاهم جديد مع قسد نصّ على ألا تدخل «القوات السورية مراكز مدينتي الحسكة والقامشلي» في حال المضي باتفاق وقف إطلاق النار، على أن يُناقش لاحقاً «الجدول الزمني والتفاصيل الخاصة بدمج قسد ضمن الجيش والمؤسسات في شمال شرق البلاد ضمن الدولة».

While the Syrian Democratic Forces “SDF,” claimed that the Syrian government forces are besieging the city of Ain al-Arab (Kobani) northeast of Aleppo, the Aleppo governorate announced the dispatch of humanitarian and medical aid to the city, which has a Kurdish majority.

The Central Committee for Aleppo Response reported in a statement today (Sunday) that it sent, in coordination with United Nations organizations, a convoy consisting of 24 trucks loaded with medical, relief, and logistical materials. It mentioned that the convoy set off from the city of Aleppo towards the Ain al-Arab area to support the humanitarian and service needs there.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense announced that the army is preparing, in coordination with the governorates of Hasakah and Aleppo, to open two humanitarian corridors, which will be announced once preparations are complete, according to the SANA news agency.

Yesterday (Saturday), the SDF accused the Syrian government of continuing military preparations in the regions of the Jazira and Kobani, claiming that it had monitored military mobilizations and logistical movements that confirm a clear intention to escalate.

It considered that these military preparations reveal attempts to undermine the ceasefire and push towards war instead of political solutions. It called on the international community and relevant parties to make urgent efforts to ensure adherence to the ceasefire agreement and to work to prevent any escalatory steps that could threaten security and stability in the region.

It is worth noting that the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced yesterday, just hours after the end of a four-day truce between the government and the SDF, an extension of the ceasefire for an additional 15 days. It clarified that this extension came in support of a process being carried out by the American forces to transfer individuals accused of belonging to ISIS, who were held in prisons in northeastern Syria, to centers in Iraq.

For three weeks, clashes have been ongoing between the SDF and government forces, leading to the Kurdish forces losing control over the predominantly Arab governorates of Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor, and retreating to Hasakah.

Last Tuesday, the Syrian presidency announced that a new understanding had been reached with the SDF, stipulating that “Syrian forces will not enter the centers of the cities of Hasakah and Qamishli” if the ceasefire agreement proceeds, with the timeline and details regarding the integration of the SDF into the army and institutions in northeastern Syria within the state to be discussed later.
