وصفت المتحدثة باسم الأمم المتحدة في سورية سيلين شميت، الوضع الأمني في مخيم الهول بأنه «غير مستقر»، ما يحول دون دخول المفوضية السامية للاجئين للمخيم الذي يؤوي عائلات عناصر من تنظيم داعش في شمال شرق سورية.

وقالت المتحدثة إن مفوضية الأمم المتحدة السامية لشؤون اللاجئين تمكنت من الوصول إلى مخيم الهول خلال الأيام الثلاثة الأخيرة، لكنها لم تتمكّن الآن من دخوله بسبب الوضع الأمني المتقلّب.

وقبل يومين، انتشرت قوات الجيش السوري داخل مخيم الهول غداة إعلان قوات سورية الديمقراطية الانسحاب منه، وأصدرت وزارة الداخلية تعميماً باعتبار المخيم والمناطق المحيطة به مناطق محظور الاقتراب منها.

وأضافت في التعميم الذي نشر عبر «X»، أن المخيم والسجون الأمنية التي تم الانتشار فيها حديثا مناطق محظورة بالكامل، مشددة على منع الاقتراب منها لعدم التعرض للمساءلة القانونية.

جاء هذا الانتشار في المخيم بعدما أكدت 3 مصادر سورية مطلعة أن التحالف الدولي أجرى مفاوضات لتسليم الهول إلى ‍السلطات السورية.

وأفاد مسؤول سوري، بأن ⁠المحادثات ‌ركزت على انتقال ⁠سلس للسيطرة من قوات قسد، ‌وذلك لتجنب أية مخاطر أمنية أو فرار للمحتجزين.

وكانت قوات سورية الديمقراطية، ذكرت أنها تحرس نحو 10 آلاف مقاتل من داعش.

The spokesperson for the United Nations in Syria, Selin Schmidt, described the security situation in the Al-Hol camp as "unstable," which prevents the UN High Commissioner for Refugees from entering the camp that houses families of ISIS members in northeastern Syria.

The spokesperson stated that the UN High Commissioner for Refugees was able to access the Al-Hol camp during the last three days, but is currently unable to enter due to the fluctuating security situation.

Two days ago, Syrian army forces spread inside the Al-Hol camp following the announcement of the Syrian Democratic Forces' withdrawal from it, and the Ministry of Interior issued a circular declaring the camp and the surrounding areas as restricted zones.

In the circular published via "X," it added that the camp and the security prisons where forces have recently deployed are completely prohibited areas, emphasizing the ban on approaching them to avoid legal accountability.

This deployment in the camp came after three informed Syrian sources confirmed that the international coalition conducted negotiations to hand over Al-Hol to the Syrian authorities.

A Syrian official reported that the discussions focused on a smooth transition of control from the SDF forces, in order to avoid any security risks or escape of detainees.

The Syrian Democratic Forces had stated that they guard around 10,000 ISIS fighters.
