غيب الموت اليوم (الجمعة)الإعلامي وخبير الأرصاد الجوية حسن كراني عن عمر يناهز 77 عامًا، بعد أكثر من أربعة عقود من التواجد في ذاكرة المشاهدين السعوديين، بصوته المألوف وعباراته الخالدة التي ارتبطت بنشرات الطقس عبر التلفزيون السعودي.

وكانت رحلة حسن كراني الإعلامية والعلمية قد بدأت منذ بداياته في مكة المكرمة عام 1949، حيث أظهر اهتمامًا مبكرًا بالعلوم واللغات، ما مهد له الطريق لدخول عالم الإعلام. وانطلقت مسيرته المهنية في الإذاعة السعودية، قبل أن يتخصص في مجال الأرصاد الجوية الذي كان محدود الانتشار آنذاك، ليصبح لاحقًا من أبرز الوجوه في التلفزيون السعودي منذ عام 1978.

وعُرِف الكراني بأسلوبه العفوي وحضوره الدافئ، وبصوته المألوف الذي رافق أجيالًا من السعوديين لعقود، وارتبط اسمه بعبارته الشهيرة التي اختتم بها النشرات: “شكرًا لكم ومع السلامة”، وأحيانًا “أعزائي شكراً لإصغائكم مع أحلى الأماني”، لتظل جزءًا من الذاكرة الإعلامية الوطنية.

وخلال مسيرته الطويلة، ساهم حسن كراني في تأسيس وبناء المركز الوطني للأرصاد، وشارك في تطوير منظومة التنبؤات الجوية، كما شغل مناصب إدارية بارزة في الهيئة العامة للأرصاد وحماية البيئة، وكان مستشارًا معتمدًا في المؤتمرات والندوات المتعلقة بالمناخ والكوارث الطبيعية، ما جعله مصدر ثقة للجمهور ومرجعًا في علم الأرصاد.

ورغم إعلان تقاعده رسميًا عام 2019، ظل الكراني نشطًا عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، محافظًا على حضوره في حياة السعوديين، ليبقى رمزًا للإعلام الاحترافي والشغف بعلم الطقس.

وفي مطلع هذا الشهر، كان الكراني يرقد في مجمع الملك عبدالله الطبي بمحافظة جدة، حيث تلقى العلاج لمدة قاربت سبعة أشهر، قبل أن تفارق روحه الحياة صباح اليوم، مخلفًا إرثًا علميًا وإعلاميًا لا يُنسى.

ونعى عدد من رواد مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي الفقيد، داعين الله أن يتغمده بواسع رحمته ويسكنه فسيح جناته، وسط حالة حزن واسعة في الوسط الإعلامي وبين خبراء الطقس في المملكة.

The media figure and meteorology expert Hassan Karani passed away today (Friday) at the age of 77, after more than four decades of being in the memory of Saudi viewers, with his familiar voice and timeless phrases that were associated with weather broadcasts on Saudi television.

Hassan Karani's media and scientific journey began in the early days in Mecca in 1949, where he showed an early interest in sciences and languages, paving the way for his entry into the world of media. His professional career started in Saudi radio before he specialized in the field of meteorology, which was limited in scope at the time, eventually becoming one of the most prominent faces on Saudi television since 1978.

Karani was known for his spontaneous style and warm presence, with his familiar voice accompanying generations of Saudis for decades. His name became associated with his famous phrase that he used to conclude the broadcasts: “Thank you and goodbye,” and sometimes “Dear ones, thank you for your attention with the best wishes,” making it a part of the national media memory.

Throughout his long career, Hassan Karani contributed to the establishment and development of the National Center for Meteorology, participated in the development of the weather forecasting system, and held prominent administrative positions in the General Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Protection. He was also a certified consultant at conferences and seminars related to climate and natural disasters, making him a trusted source for the public and a reference in the field of meteorology.

Despite officially announcing his retirement in 2019, Karani remained active on social media, maintaining his presence in the lives of Saudis, and remaining a symbol of professional media and passion for the science of weather.

At the beginning of this month, Karani was hospitalized at King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah, where he received treatment for nearly seven months, before passing away this morning, leaving behind an unforgettable scientific and media legacy.

A number of social media users mourned the deceased, praying to God to grant him His vast mercy and to place him in His spacious gardens, amidst widespread sorrow in the media community and among weather experts in the Kingdom.
