كشف وزير المالية محمد الجدعان أن السعودية تعمل منذ الآن على الاستعداد لمرحلة ما بعد 2050 عبر تطوير التعليم والمهارات والقضايا المجتمعية، إلى جانب تنفيذ إصلاحات هيكلية جدية في الاقتصاد قد تستغرق من 10 إلى 15 عاماً قبل أن تظهر عوائدها وآثارها بشكل واضح.

وأوضح الجدعان، خلال مشاركته في جلسة حوارية في البيت السعودي على هامش أعمال المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي 2026، أن العالم يشهد ضجيجاً كبيراً، وأن الدول التي تنشغل به وتغفل عن أولوياتها الاقتصادية ستتضرر، مؤكداً ضرورة الفصل بين إدارة الملفات السياسية الخارجية وبين التركيز على الاقتصاد الوطني وتنمية المجتمع.

وأشار إلى أن المملكة تسعى إلى أن تكون نموذجاً في التركيز على الاقتصاد وحل النزاعات عبر الحوار.

وبيّن أن دولاً مثل السعودية لديها قيادة شابة تنظر إلى مصلحة الأجيال خلال 15 و20 و30 عاماً قادمة.

وأكد أن الهدف الأساسي هو إعداد المجتمعات والهياكل الاقتصادية للتعامل مع مستقبل غير معروف، مشيراً إلى أن الأزمات السابقة أثبتت قدرة الدول والشركات والشعوب على التكيف بدل الانهيار كما توقع البعض.

وفي ما يتعلق بالبنك الدولي وصندوق النقد الدولي، قال الجدعان: الحديث عن تراجع أهميتهما مجرد ضجيج، مشيراً إلى أن دول العالم كلها تتجه إلى هذه المؤسسات، إما لدعم نفسها أو لدعم منطقتها، رغم الحاجة إلى إصلاحات.

Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan revealed that Saudi Arabia is already working on preparations for the post-2050 phase by developing education, skills, and social issues, in addition to implementing serious structural reforms in the economy that may take 10 to 15 years before their returns and effects become clear.

Al-Jadaan explained, during his participation in a dialogue session at the Saudi House on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2026, that the world is experiencing significant noise, and that countries preoccupied with it while neglecting their economic priorities will be harmed, emphasizing the need to separate the management of foreign political files from focusing on the national economy and community development.

He pointed out that the Kingdom seeks to be a model in focusing on the economy and resolving conflicts through dialogue.

He indicated that countries like Saudi Arabia have young leadership that looks to the interests of future generations over the next 15, 20, and 30 years.

He affirmed that the main goal is to prepare communities and economic structures to deal with an unknown future, noting that past crises have proven the ability of countries, companies, and peoples to adapt rather than collapse as some had predicted.

Regarding the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, Al-Jadaan said: talking about their declining importance is just noise, pointing out that all countries of the world are turning to these institutions, either to support themselves or to support their region, despite the need for reforms.
