يدخل اليوم طالع سعد الذابح، أحد منازل القمر، وهو عبارة عن نجمين خافتين غير نيرين يقعان في برج الجدي، ويُعد من النجوم اليمانية المعروفة في علم الأنواء، التي اعتمد عليها العرب قديمًا في رصد المواسم والتغيرات المناخية.

وأوضح نائب رئيس جمعية الطقس والمناخ السعودية الدكتور عبدالله المسند، أن دخول أو خروج النجوم لا يعني بالضرورة حدوث انقلاب مفاجئ في الأحوال الجوية، مؤكدًا أن التغيرات المناخية تكون تدريجية وليست آنية، وأن نوء سعد الذابح يستمر لمدة 13 يومًا، ويُعد أول نجوم موسم العقارب، ويُمثّل العقرب الأولى المعروفة بـ«عقرب السم»، ضمن تقسيم العقارب الثلاثة التي تشمل: عقرب السم، وعقرب الدم، وعقرب الدسم.

ولفت إلى استمرار زيادة ساعات النهار ونقص ساعات الليل بمعدل دقيقة و15 ثانية يوميًا، في إطار التغيرات الموسمية المعتادة، مؤكدًا أن منازل القمر لا تزال تمثل مؤشرًا تراثيًا يُقرأ اليوم جنبًا إلى جنب مع التحليل العلمي الحديث لفهم سلوك الطقس والمناخ.

حمى أهله من النابح

وتُعرف هذه الفترة في الموروث العربي ببرودة أوائلها، إذ يُقال: «إذا طلع سعد الذابح حمى أهله من النابح»، في إشارة إلى موجات برد متقطعة قد تصاحب بدايته، خصوصا خلال ساعات الليل والصباح الباكر، مع تحسّن تدريجي في درجات الحرارة نهارًا.

وتشهد هذه المرحلة زيادة في نشاط بعض الزواحف والحشرات، ومن بينها العقارب، نتيجة اعتدال الأجواء نسبيًا؛ مما يستدعي أخذ الحيطة والحذر في المناطق البرية والزراعية، خصوصًا أثناء التخييم أو العمل الليلي في المزارع.

وفي الجانب الزراعي، تُعد الفترة مناسبة لغرس فسائل النخيل، إلى جانب تنفيذ بعض الأعمال الموسمية مثل: تقليم الأشجار المثمرة، وتجهيز الأراضي للزراعة الربيعية، مستفيدين من استقرار الطقس التدريجي.

Today marks the entry of the star Al-Saad Al-Dhabih, one of the lunar mansions, which consists of two faint stars that are not bright, located in the Capricorn constellation. It is considered one of the well-known Yemeni stars in the science of weather, which the Arabs relied on in ancient times to observe seasons and climatic changes.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Masnad, the Vice President of the Saudi Weather and Climate Association, explained that the entry or exit of stars does not necessarily mean a sudden change in weather conditions, emphasizing that climatic changes are gradual and not instantaneous. The star Al-Saad Al-Dhabih lasts for 13 days and is the first star of the Scorpion season, representing the first scorpion known as "Scorpion of Poison," among the three divisions of scorpions which include: Scorpion of Poison, Scorpion of Blood, and Scorpion of Fat.

He noted the continued increase in daylight hours and the decrease in nighttime hours by an average of one minute and 15 seconds daily, as part of the usual seasonal changes, confirming that the lunar mansions still represent a heritage indicator that is read today alongside modern scientific analysis to understand weather and climate behavior.

The warmth protects its people from the barking

This period is known in Arab heritage for its early coldness, as it is said: "When Al-Saad Al-Dhabih rises, it protects its people from the barking," referring to intermittent cold waves that may accompany its beginning, especially during the night and early morning hours, with a gradual improvement in temperatures during the day.

This phase witnesses an increase in the activity of some reptiles and insects, including scorpions, due to the relatively mild weather; this necessitates taking precautions in rural and agricultural areas, especially during camping or nighttime work in farms.

In the agricultural aspect, this period is suitable for planting palm seedlings, in addition to carrying out some seasonal tasks such as pruning fruit trees and preparing lands for spring planting, benefiting from the gradual stability of the weather.
