وصفت فرنسا قرار المجلس الوزاري الأمني الإسرائيلي الهادف إلى توسيع السيطرة الإسرائيلية على الضفة الغربية، بما في ذلك المنطقتان A وB بـ«المخالف للقانون الدولي»، معربة عن إدانتها الشديدة لهذا القرار.

وذكرت الخارجية الفرنسية، في بيان اليوم (الثلاثاء) أن القرار الإسرائيلي يشكل تقويضاً خطيراً لاتفاقات أوسلو وبروتوكول الخليل، مبينة أن هذه الإجراءات، إلى جانب المصادقة على مشروع E1 ونشر طلبات العروض الخاصة به، تدفع بمنطق ضم الضفة الغربية وتشكّل اعتداءً خطيراً على حل الدولتين.

وحذرت باريس من أن هذه القرارات تأتي في وقت تتركز فيه الجهود الدولية على تنفيذ المرحلة الثانية من خطة السلام في غزة، معتبرة أنها تضر بجهود السلام وقد تغذي التوترات.

ودعت الخارجية الفرنسية، إسرائيل إلى التراجع الفوري عن هذه القرارات، معلنة معارضتها الصارمة لأي شكل من أشكال الضم.

وأكدت الوزارة على استمرار انخراطها من أجل سلام عادل ودائم وفق قرارات مجلس الأمن والمبادئ الواردة في «إعلان نيويورك».

وكان مسؤول أمريكي قد أكد رفض الرئيس دونالد ترمب بشكل قاطع لأي خطوة إسرائيلية لضم الضفة الغربية، موضحاً أن الحفاظ على استقرار الضفة الغربية يشكل عنصراً أساسياً لأمن إسرائيل.

ولفت إلى أن هذا الاستقرار ينسجم أيضاً مع هدف ترمب الأوسع المتمثل في تعزيز استقرار المنطقة.

وكان المجلس الوزاري الأمني الإسرائيلي، قد وافق (الأحد)، على سلسلة من الخطوات التي من شأنها تسهيل شراء المستوطنين للأراضي في الضفة الغربية المحتلة، مع منح السلطات الإسرائيلية مزيداً من صلاحيات الإنفاذ ضد الفلسطينيين.

France described the decision of the Israeli security cabinet aimed at expanding Israeli control over the West Bank, including areas A and B, as "contrary to international law," expressing its strong condemnation of this decision.

The French Foreign Ministry stated in a statement today (Tuesday) that the Israeli decision constitutes a serious undermining of the Oslo Accords and the Hebron Protocol, indicating that these measures, along with the approval of the E1 project and the issuance of its tenders, push towards the annexation of the West Bank and represent a serious violation of the two-state solution.

Paris warned that these decisions come at a time when international efforts are focused on implementing the second phase of the peace plan in Gaza, considering that they harm peace efforts and may fuel tensions.

The French Foreign Ministry called on Israel to immediately retract these decisions, announcing its firm opposition to any form of annexation.

The ministry emphasized its continued engagement for a just and lasting peace in accordance with Security Council resolutions and the principles outlined in the "New York Declaration."

An American official confirmed that President Donald Trump firmly rejected any Israeli move to annex the West Bank, clarifying that maintaining stability in the West Bank is a key element for Israel's security.

He pointed out that this stability also aligns with Trump's broader goal of enhancing regional stability.

The Israeli security cabinet had approved (on Sunday) a series of steps that would facilitate settlers' purchase of land in the occupied West Bank, while granting Israeli authorities more enforcement powers against Palestinians.
