مدرب كريستال بالاس أوليفر جلاسنر أشار إلى أن فشل الفحص الطبي لم يكن مفاجئاً، موضحاً أن اللاعب كان يعاني من تورم في الركبة لفترة طويلة، لكنه استمر في اللعب رغم ذلك خلال الأشهر التي سبقت سوق الانتقالات الشتوية الماضية.
