Rain forecast for Cairo, northern Egypt on Tuesday

Egypt’s meteorologists expect rainfall in several parts of the country on Tuesday as colder than normal temperatures persist.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority’s forecast shows that rains are expected for cities on the Mediterranean and some Nile Delta cities on Tuesday

It may also rain in the capital Cairo on the day and the coast will also get rain on Wednesday, the authority says on its official website.

Almost the entire country continues to experience colder than normal temperatures on Tuesday, which are expected to persist over much of the country through the next two days.

Highs are forecast at 16 and lows at 8 in Cairo and the Nile Delta on Tuesday. Temperatures will remain almost the same in these areas on Wednesday and Thursday.

Alexandria is expected to see highs of 15-16 degrees and lows of 7 on both days.

The popular Red Sea resort cities of Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh will be slightly warmer, with highs of 21-18 degrees and lows of 11-12.

The northern part of Upper Egypt – which includes the governorates of Minya, Fayoum and Beni Suef – is predicted to be the coldest, with lows hitting 5 degrees.
